Dearest Molvi Abdur-Raheem
After the sunnah greeting. I wrote you a card posted
yesterday. Last night at around Isha time I took receipt of a letter from
dearest Yusuf’s father-in-law, he writes, we are not to worry and that Yusuf is
heading for Bombay. That letter was
dated Sunday. In today’s mail, I received an air letter dated 10th
November. It contained a lot more detail. It reads that the British and Indian
embassies were extremely helpful. It also states that on 6th
November a young man involved in the accident gave a detailed account of the
incident. Further, he will depart by ship on 11th November for Bombay
and arrive on 20th November, inshallah. It states too that yesterday a brief
letter to his wife, written left-handed, had arrived.
Today on the afternoon of 14th November, I
received a telegram from Qureshi Sahib to inform me that a man had been
dispatched from Quetta. There was
no correspondence from Haji Yakub Sahib in today’s mail. Look into the exact
time of arrival and reach Bombay
ahead of time. Moreover, until such time that full arrangements are in place
for dearest Yusuf’s treatment neither he nor yourself should intend returning
to Saharanpur. May almighty Allah
accord convalescence. Happiness has turned into concern and lament. It is almighty
Allah’s providence. Convey my salutations to your good-wife. Thank you for the
fish.
That is all. Salaam
Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib
