From: Hazrat
Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib (May his secret be sanctified)
To: Al-Haj Muhammad
Yakub Sahib, Bombay
Date: 20th
Sha’baan 1388/ 10th November 1968
After the sunnah greeting, a short time ago I dispatched a card by way of train, subsequently I learned that a Tablighi Jama’at comprising of our own students is departing for Delhi to spend the holy month at Nizamuddin. Hence, I had the notion of sending this card with them, to mail from Delhi, any correspondence sent from Delhi is received in Bombay within two days.
In the aforementioned card, I penned that near to the time of the Isha prayer I received a telephone call from Delhi in connection with the group travelling from London, two persons continue to remain in an Iranian hospital namely Vali Ismail and Gulam Haidar and one person has returned to London. The remaining four persons including molvi Yusuf are returning on 11 November. It is unclear whether they are arriving in Bombay on 11th November or if they are making sail on 11th November.
You are ideally situated to establish when the ship from Iran will make port. If dearest Yusuf has arrived safely in Bombay then kindly advise by way of telegram and thereafter through letter. If he is able to write then let him kindly pen his schedule, if not, then if you could kindly inform me if he is fit to travel. In dearest Abdur-Raheem’s considered opinion, the easiest and quickest treatment for a broken limb is available in Surat. Zaheer the son Haji Imam Sahib the amir of Tabligh Jama’at in Saharanpur is intending to travel to Bombay at the conclusion of the Baroda Ijtima, if you are acquainted then perhaps a letter sent by hand would arrive sooner.
That is all. Salaam
Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib
Dictated to Abdur-Raheem
