Dearest respected brother
After the sunnah greeting, following a lengthy wait, today I received your letter from Naroli dictated by Chothi Khala. I have not as yet received a reply in response to the letter I wrote to you recently; anyhow, you did not even date this letter. Nonetheless, today I have received your gift of itr, jazakumullah, although owing to my misfortune the itr leaked out into the box; I managed to retrieve a tiny amount from the bottom of the bottle. I failed to receive the kabeeri Sharah Munyatul Musalli, but the other items were received: 1. Cloth 2. Lungi 3. Bottles of scent 4. Razor 5. Notebook 6. Nan Khathai. 7. Glasses 8. ………
I have not received the Noor-ul-ain (colyrium) perhaps it was not sent. At any rate brother, you are somewhat inert as I am forever waiting for your letter. I'm especially worried about your health and well being. May Allah grant you the health and strength along with the knowledge and ability to put it into practise, may He accept you for the benefit of His religion. Amen.
I have enclosed for you a copy of the letter that Hazrat Sheikh Sahib wrote for a Pakistani magazine (Hazrat Ji Number) in response to a request for an article. Give it to our friends to read as you are all fond of these types of articles. Express my appreciation to Molvi Ismail Sahib and ask him to send the remainder of the items with someone who is coming here. I will write a separate letter to him personally. Convey my courteous salaams to our noble teachers.
That is all, Salaam.

I have not received the 20 rupees. Kindly notify as to Chothi Khala's wellbeing and please keep this letter safe. I have catarrh and a severe cold. Kindly pray that Almighty Allah averts my eyes, brain, hair and the rest of the body from harm. Ameen. Brother Ismail's letter arrived today.
