Dearest Hafiz Molvi Qari Muhammad Yusuf Sahib

After the sunnah greeting, your correspondence was received within dearest Abdul-Aziz’s envelope, you penned that you had written numerous letters that were sent contained within correspondences belonging to different people, true; two detailed letters were enclosed within envelopes belonging to two separate individuals and a further few lines were appended to somebody else’s letter. I have replied to all three of these, two replies sent out within envelopes forwarded to those two individuals and a note appended to a letter to the other individual. However, what baffles me is how your letters are received here one after the other as a result of my attraction, yet none of my letters are delivered to you, hitherto I have not received a single letter of acknowledgment.

I wrote you an air letter this month on 1st July; then on 8th July I enclosed a comprehensive letter within an envelope registered to your Khaloo Jan, which also included the guest list. Subsequently on 15th July I sent a letter from Nizamuddin in dearest Abdul-Aziz’s envelope, and yet there has been no acknowledgment to any of these even in the latest letter. Letters from the 1st and 8th would have arrived long before now, unless I am to assume that owing to daily and nightly exploits you don’t have the opportunity to look at them and likely to be in some waste basket somewhere.

You penned that you plan to leave for Bolton next week and you will write me your permanent address from there, I’m honoured. Undoubtedly I will send stacks of letters to this new address, but from what I have gathered with regards the acknowledgments from this month letters I can imagine what I have to look forward to. You wrote of your yearning to spend the blessed month here, you are cordially welcome, but only by coming with a single-minded purposeful resolve to immerse yourself in some vocation will it be beneficial; otherwise there’s no sense in dispensing with marital pleasures is there? The arrival here of your mother and wife is a cause of immense joy, but you are well aware of the constraints with regards to the living quarters, I am worried in view of the affection dearest Abdur-Raheem’s wife’s has shown, that perchance she may not possess the requisite fortitude.

Further, communicate my greetings to Honourable Dr. Abdul-Hameed Sahib, this useless-one prays for him, may almighty Allah grant him elevation in both the abodes. His dream is evidently clear, after the demise of the late Yusuf there is but In’aam left, so therefore it demands no further interpretation. Don’t inconvenience yourself as regards Dr. Maqsood Sahib’s address or re meeting him, masha’allah at present you have more acquaintances there than in Saharanpur or Naroli, I simply wrote to him with relation to your initial situation, that making acquaintances will take time, however, no need for him anymore, simply place his letter in the post.

Congratulations on your wife’s intention of giving bay’at, however, this useless-one is sat here ready to take leave and in actual fact you two brothers have experienced this by taking my bay’at. Therefore it will be better suited if this is done with dearest In’aam, if not I don’t have any objections to do it myself. As to your wife becoming ill it’s no real surprise, favourites are frequently ill. May Almighty Allah grant her convalescence. I am delighted that your Khaloo Sahib has gone out in Jama’at, may Almighty Allah bless you thereby. Convey my sunnah greetings to him and your wife. This useless one sincerely prays from the heart for you all.

That is all, Salaam
