From: Moulana
Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib
To: Hazrat
Sheikh-ul-Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariya Sahib (May his secret be sanctified)
Date: 14-15 Muharram
1388/11-12 April 1968
After the sunnah greetings, by the grace of Allah this unworthy one is in good health and I trust that Hazrat is also well. I have at present received your esteemed letter.
Inshallah this evening I will make my way to Tarkesar and assign to Molvi Gulam Muhammad Sahib the100 rupees as well as present Hazrat’s venerable letter. Accordingly, I am extremely delighted for this favourable opportunity. Given that madrasah is in the afternoon today I will present myself at his service after Asr.
Furthermore, may I dare to be audacious and hope that Hazrat will forgive me. Hazrat! Sugar is increasingly becoming more expensive in recent times, therefore if you kindly remit two or three rupees with dearest Yusuf then this lowly-one would purchase sugar with it and add it to the sugar jar, additionally, kindly incorporate within the aforementioned money any half rupee coins to hand.
I had three rupees from Hazrat’s Bukhari Shareef, subsequently one was stolen then I gave one to an acquaintance and lastly I gave one to my significant other, consequently I don’t have any left. I had other monies but they too were distributed on account of petitions.
Moulana Muhammad Umar Sahib arrived on the second day of the Ijtima a little before Asr. After Asr he made supplications and thereafter had tea then left before Maghrib. This unworthy-one was in attendance throughout both the days.
That is all, Salaam
Abdur-Raheem
I
