Letter 63 Volume 1

From: Hazrat Moulana Yusuf Sahib

To: Moulana Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib

Date: Muharram-Safar 1388/March-April 1968

Dearest and honourable brother Moulana Abdur-Raheem Sahib may your spiritual grace continue to spread forth. After the sunnah greetings, through the grace and bounty of God Most Holy and as a result of your spiritual attention and prayers I arrived here with the greatest ease and contentment last night and joined in congregation for the Isha prayers. Albeit during boarding at Surat I was nervous seeing that there were a multitude of passengers and the luggage had to be loaded through the window, yet once the train headed out I found a restful seat. Despite the fact that the prayers were one after another we were able to pray them on time and complete them with ease.

As per instruction I have brought the savouries for Molvi Talha Sahib Etc, however; given that it was a Sunday the bazaar was shut and I was unable to acquire the itr and pen. Hafiz Sahib has given 500 rupees, I arranged for them to be deposited with Dawood Varethi at Rander; you may collect them whenever you wish. Kindly pray as Hazrat’s health is fragile, what else can I add; whoever I encounter here comments on how remarkably slight I’m looking.

That is all. Salaam.

Unworthy Yusuf
