Dearest Molvi Yusuf Motala
After the sunnah greetings, I found your letter in a bundle from yesterday's post. I was elated at learning the details of dearest Abdur-Raheem's marriage. I was fervently waiting for news of his imminent nuptials. Time after time I would enquire in the letters to Saharanpur . Dearest Gulam Muhammad had notified me of the completion of his (own) ceremony and I enquired from him, but until now there had been no news. I am thrilled at the completion of it all. May Allah make it a means of blessings for him. Please convey my best wishes; rather just forward this letter to him. This humble one prays from the heart that Allah grant love between the said couple and may Allah make this auspicious occasion a means of elevation in both the abodes for both families.
You were correct to attend the ceremony. Since I was not in attendance my permission was not necessary, particularly when you had consent from the Administrator and Mufti Muzaffar Sahib. Nevertheless, with your petition and earnest request in conjunction with my intercession ask Qari Muzaffar Sahib and Molvi Yunus Sahib to complete the lessons you failed to attend.
Incorporate my salutations if you happen to write to dearest Molvi Abdur-Raheem, Gulam Muhammad, Molvi Ismail and Abdul-Aziz. The justification you gave for not being able to write prior to this is acceptable, nevertheless, I eagerly waited for your letters to find out about Molvi Abdur-Raheem's marriage.
That is all, Salaam
Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib
