Volume 1 Letter 55
From: Hazrat
Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib
To: Hazrat Moulana
Yusuf Motala Sahib (May Almighty Allah Lengthen his lofty shadow)
Date: 4th
Shawwal 1387/ 4th January 1968
After the sunnah greetings, I received your letter in today’s post. If I had mailed my reply you would have received it Monday and dear Abdur-Raheem is intending to depart on Monday, therefore I decided to send it through him as it will arrive much more reliably. I am extremely pleased that your e’tikaaf concluded satisfactorily. May Almighty Allah confer his blessings upon you, this useless one can but only pray.
I am saddened to be informed of further conflict in Naroli. May Almighty Allah confer his kind favour, may Almighty Allah through his grace and kind favour protect one and all from the tyranny of the police. Encourage abundant recitation of Quraanic verses, istighfar and Durood Shareef, those who are proficient in recitation of the Quraan request them to pray one reading of Surah Kahf daily. What is the progress on your passport?
I have penned in previous correspondence that for the duration of the completion of your passport not to fritter away any time. If you are able to secure a subject to teach at your madrasah it would be ideal, otherwise attend lectures on Hadith. Aside from praying what else can I do?
That is all, Salaam
Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib
