Date: 29th
Ramadhan-ul-Mubarak 1387/ 31st December 1967
After the sunnah greetings, the arrival of your letter coincided with the remaining last few moments of Ramadhan, but since it was your letter I required to have it read to me and a brief reply to be sent forthwith. With regards to your coming here, then refer back to my previous counsel, time here will be squandered whereas there you will be able to facilitate in some teaching, and who knows how your health will cope up here. In spite of this if you still want to come then I have no objection, your advent here is a source of delight for me but there is no cure for frailty. So far as prayers are concerned, well you can appreciate that despite it being Ramadhan I wrote you numerous letters.
That is all, Salaam

After writing to you a letter from Hafiz Qasim Sahib was received, in reply kindly communicate my sunnah greetings and also that I pray for him intently, may Almighty Allah assist him.
From: Moulana
Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib
At the outset let me extend to you an auspicious Eid. May Almighty accept your fasting, prayers, e’tikaaf, night prayers and all your worship. Amen. I received your correspondence and as a result I became apprised of the situation. I have very little time to write today aside from to pray and to request for prayer. I had written two austere letters to your bhabhi, so if only to atone I am sending an Eid card. Inshallah she will begin to wear the burkha. Please do pray. Brother Gulam Muhammad has requested a few things and sent 13 Rupees. The money for the preceding medicine is still outstanding.

Today is Monday and on the following Monday I am returning by way of the Janta. I should arrive home by Tuesday evening. I would have appreciated knowing whether the evening bus is operating or not? I have only at this instant received word of the reservation. Pass on my sunnah greetings to father, brother, Bhabhi and to one and all.
