From: Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib (May his secret be sanctified)
To: Hazrat Moulana Yusuf Motala Sahib (May his lofty shadow be lengthened)
Date: 23 rd Sha'ban 1387/ 25 th November 1967
After the sunnah greeting, since your departure I have been thinking about you a great deal, dearest Abdur-Raheem and I have been forlorn since yesterday, and he has mentioned you countless times since. God willing your health has improved since you left us. Moreover, I am certain it has improved, since you will not have encountered anything disparate to your disposition!
Today, dearest Abdur-Raheem informed me by way of letter as regards the unrest over there, this caused me some degree of disquiet. As from today the khatme-khwajga was moved into the madrassa, this unworthy-one prays assiduously for your village and requests others for the same. I must now wait a further two days for your letter informing me about your well-being; that is only if you have written today. Communicate my sunnah greetings to your khala sahiba, other relatives and to your bhai sahib etc.
That is all. Salaam
Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib

From: Moulana Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib (May his shadow be lengthened)
After the sunnah greeting and best wishes to one another. You were bade farewell with immense anguish. May Almighty Allah through His grace and bounty preserve you from deception. Recite surah Kahaf and Hisn Haseen consistently, they are an excellent safeguard from artifice. Today, I received two letters from Brother Muhammad Ali sahib, forward my sunnah greetings to him and express my thanks to him for writing time and again. This unworthy one is indebted to him. Now that you have arrived there, kindly keep me informed as to the state of affairs there. Presently, Moulana As'ad Sahib has arrived. Hazrat personally brought to his attention how the police are carrying out terrible persecution. May Allah have mercy. Moulana As'ad Sahib, who was formerly acquainted with the details, apprised Hazrat with a full account of the state of affairs. Still, convey my sunnah greetings to your sister-in-law and inform her that I received her letter today and I will not correspond further until post-Ramadhan.
Continue to correspond with Hazrat consecutively, in particular set forth your lament on leaving Saharanpur . Pen this in all your subsequent communiqué. Further, write of your love for Hazrat and inform him of your allotting him virtue (Isal-e-Thawab). What more can I write. Communicate my best wishes to chothi khala, thereafter, convey my sunnah greetings to father and entreat him to pray for me. In addition, pass on my sunnah greetings to brother. In your suitcase there are silver leaves take one every morning with (tamarind).
Most contemptible Abdur-Raheem
