Dearest Moulana Abdur-Raheem Sahib
Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
After the sunnah greeting, it is after some days that I have received correspondence from you. Today I received a letter from our dearest mother, which I enclose herein. The weather here is very agreeable. It is the beginning of summer and accordingly it is very mild. A couple of days ago there was a heavy shower along with hailstones; nonetheless the weather is still very pleasant. I was unresolved about going to Delhi, however, at this time I have decided against it. I am aware that you have your reasons for not coming, but I expected Sahibayn and Abdul-Aziz to arrive a week ago. Molvi Gulam Muhammad Sahib has his reasons and I am aware that either Molvi Ismail Sahib is awaiting the arrival of his father-in-law from Africa, or if he has arrived then he is arranging the wedding.
Moulana Munawwar Hussain Sahib was enquiring with regard to the details of your marriage, but so far I have been unable to correspond, notwithstanding I will inform him about them verbally when I can. Kindly pray and request others to pray for the three monthly exams. What more can I write. Your kurta (shirt) is ready for you, I kept it back in anticipation of your arrival; nevertheless, I will dispatch it forthwith, inshallah. Communicate my salutations to our aunties and the rest of the family, in particular chothi khala and dearest bhabhi. Kindly request them to pray for me.
That is all. Salaam
Your Sinful Brother Yusuf
