Volume 1 Letter 30

From: Moulana Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib

To: Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib (May Allah enlighten his resting place)

Date: 2 nd Sha'ban 1384/ 15 th November 1966

After the sunnah greeting, I humbly implore that for several days I had been meaning to consult with you on a particular issue, however I could not summon the courage to ask in person, hence I am writing this petition.

I aspire to travel with Hazrat Sheikh to Nizamuddin, but there are a couple of issues preventing me. The swelling from the operation is still palpable and from time to time, it gives me pain. Hence, I fear, god forbid, that anything should happen while en route which could cause me distress. It was after this lowly one left home and arrived in Surat the pain started. I took medication, but despite this, I remained unwell with a fever for four to five days. Therefore, I am inclined to post-pone Nizamuddin and make E'tikaf here for a week, until next Friday. I leave it for Hazrat to decide. I request prayers for my health.

That is all. Salaam

Abdur-Raheem
