Dearest and most venerable Abdur-Raheem

After the sunnah greeting, I have presently received your card, which was read to me by dearest Yusuf. He related that he also received a letter from you and it contained similar subject matter. I am truly concerned with regard to the news of your operation; this worthless one prays that Almighty Allah through his grace and bounty grants you success and accords you a speedy and abiding recovery. You have written that a response is not necessary, yet I had been meaning to write to you for a couple of days.

This useless-one can only but pray for you, may Almighty Allah grant you good health. I shall entrust this letter to dearest Yusuf so that he may append his reply herein. Convey my Salaam to your khala and other relations and kindly exhort them to recite Durood-Sharif.

That is all, Salaam
