In the Name of Allah, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful

Volume1 letter 20

From: Hazrat Moulana Yusuf Motala Sahib

To: Hazrat Moulana Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib

Date: 21 st February 1966/1st Zi-Qa'ada

After the sunnah greetings, I received the things you sent on Thursday night. Included were 25 Rupees, Nan Khatai, three pairs of clothes as well an update on fathers' health, regarding which Hazrat Sheikh has been made aware.

By the grace of the Almighty my affairs here have been catered to according to my wishes. I have permission to sleep in the Old Madrassa and the use of a locker for my belongings and books etc. The lectures have yet to commence; inshallah they are set to begin the day after tomorrow on Wednesday. I wrote a letter to dearest mother some days ago, but there has been no response as yet, I expect I will receive one soon, if you receive anything then kindly inform me.

There is one important matter that needs addressing, if your Mishkaat at home is clear and legible and may be of some use to me then kindly send it with someone. If it is illegible and someone in my class offers to purchase it then sell it and send the monies in order that I may obtain one here and utilize it for writing in. Otherwise, I leave it to your good judgment. What more can I write.

I am forwarding this to the Surat address; I presume this is where you are at present. Kindly inform me how long you expect to remain in hospital. Communicate my salutations to dearest father and dearest brother. Hazrat is well; stacks of letters are arriving here constantly, in addition, since yesterday evening the Pakistani letters have started to arrive, may Allah help us. Molvi Sulaiman is taking dictation and Molvi Gulam Muhammad is to depart following Eid-ul-Adha.

Hazrat has presently handed me a letter intended for you and I have written therein. Kindly pray for this sinner, this unworthy-one seeks to pray for you habitually. Molvi Muinuddin is departing for Pakistan the day after tomorrow and after the sunnah greeting he asks that you forgive him lest anything has come to pass. After the sunnah greeting convey my salaam to the khalas, especially chothi khala and request that they pray for me. What more can I write. Acknowledge also salaams from Molvi Gulam Muhammad.

That is all, Salaam

Yusuf Motala
