In the Name of Allah, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful
Volume 1 Letter 16
From: Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib (May his secret be sanctified)
To: Hazrat Moulana Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib (May his shadow be lengthened)
Date: 10 th Shaban 1385/ 3 rd December 1965
After the sunnah greetings, I received your telegram the day before yesterday on Sunday night during Isha. I have been eagerly awaiting your letter since yesterday (Monday), I imagined that since you sent the telegram on Saturday I could expect a detailed card today on Tuesday, but I have yet to receive one.
I am dictating this to highlight that I'm quite concerned, kindly write a detailed account on a card daily. I have written in two previous letters that despite my busy schedule and carrying a slight fever for several days I am travelling to Delhi on 18 th November and returning on Thursday.
I was considering sending an express letter, but Molvi Gulam Muhammad informs me these arrive a day later. I also know from experience that standard letters arrive at 9a.m and on account of the scrutiny express letters arrive after Zuhr. Prayers are rigorously observed here as a matter of course.
That is all, Salaam
Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib
