Volume 1 Letter 155
From: Moulana Abdur–Raheem Motala Sahib (May his shadow be lengthened)
To: Hazrat Moulana Yusuf Motala Sahib (May his lofty shadow be lengthened)
Date: Jamadi–Uthani 1389/September 1969
Dearest Honourable Molvi Muhammad Yusuf Sahib May Allah Pardon You And Grant You Peace
After the sunnah greeting, by the grace of Almighty Allah this lowly one is in good health as I hope you are too. Formerly I addressed a registered letter to Bolton and dispatched a detailed letter with Molvi Sulaiman Afriki. I trust they have reached you. I consigned some khameerah, sufoof, a bottle of itr to Molvi Sulaiman Sahib and two further bottles of itr sent through Molvi Ahmed Sahib, I trust these were also received.
The two parcels you mentioned in your correspondence have not arrived. Aside from the Seedat parcel, which is received, the other two have not yet arrived. From Rander I took receipt of two letters from the people of Sadiqia, they are demanding that I send monies in order that they can dispatch the books. Except I cannot find any money, what am I to send.
You penned in relation to remitting some monies to me, may Almighty Allah reward you in this abode and the next. Truly, you sent it at a most opportune moment. I was heavily in debt owing to medical bills, and aside from accruing further debt I knew not what to do. However, because of these monies I feel much more secure. May Allah reward you.
Allah has favoured you with an excellent opportunity. Kindly perform a circumambulation or two in the company of Hazrat on my behalf. If you performed an Umra on my behalf alongside Hazrat then that would be inexpressible. Consider me in your kind petitions. There was no possible means to send the itr since it is prohibited by law and only a small amount can be gifted. As soon as the money is received, I shall dispatch the books, inshallah. The money order has been sent to Munshi .........
After the sunnah greeting kindly request Molvi Abdul Hafeez Sahib, Sufi Ji and acquaintances to be mindful of me in their supplications.
That is all. Salaam
Abdur–Raheem Surati
