Salutations and Blessings at the Holy Mausoleum
My dearest and honourable brother may Allah grant peace and blessings.
After the sunnah greeting, allow me to extend to you my best wishes. This lowly–one arrived home at 3pm last Tuesday, after the Zuhr prayer. I penned an air letter to Hazrat on Wednesday; it included your appendage on the address section of the letter. Further, I assigned ten rupees to Haji Yakub Sahib while I was in Bombay, that he might send Hazrat a telegram, informing him of my wellbeing. Inshallah, the telegram was sent and Hazrat has received it before now.
My dearest, what can I say, with my advent I find myself caught in a predicament. Since my arrival Chothi Khala’s health has declined dramatically on three separate occasions. Three to four days ago, I lost all hope, however, by the grace of Almighty Allah she has recovered somewhat. I have been unable to travel to Surat, despite my best efforts.
Notwithstanding, yesterday I decided to go, come what may. It had been my intention to visit Doctor R. K Desai, however Moulana Taqi–uddin Sahib advised me to consult Hakeem Sa’d Rashid who is the son of the eminent practitioner Hakeem Ajmiri Sahib. My consultation was yesterday morning, after checking the pulse, he advised me on two matters.
He prescribed an eight–day course of medication, and requested a further visitation. He cautioned that the treatment would be prolonged, but the malady would be eradicated, inshallah. I request your prayers and that you remind Hazrat from time to time. May Almighty Allah through his good grace and bounty accord a prompt, complete, and enduring recovery.
Kindly inform me when a decision is reached about Hazrat’s stay or return. Since my return how I reminisce about Medina and Hazrat. My watch is still set to Arabian Time; I glance at it periodically and envisage what Hazrat is doing at that precise time. May Almighty Allah by way of his grace and favour accord Hazrat a long and healthy life. May we acquire benefit from him with due reverence and etiquette. Ameen.
Communicate my salutations and petition for prayers to my dear friend Sufi Ji, Molvi Abdul–Hafeez, Molvi Ismail, and Qadhi Sahib as well as other acquaintances, further request that they present greetings and salutations on my behalf at the Holy Mausoleum. What is the situation with your visa? Kindly inform me.
That is all. Salaam
The lowest of creatures Abdur–Raheem Surati
