Dearest Molvi Hafiz Qari Muhammad Yusuf Sahib

After the sunnah greeting, I wrote you a letter on 15 th Zil-Hijjah and as your preceding letter informed me of your intention to celebrate Eid in Bolton, it was duly forwarded to your Bolton address, and I trust it has reached you since. A second letter was sent on 28 th Zil-Hijjah appended to Abdus-Samad Sahib’s air letter. Further, you have not written since the letter following your arrival. Truly, your overloaded workload (!), which you appear to be overwhelmed with at present, is preventing you from your other outstanding concerns.

The question of this lowly one’s Umra is still stagnating at the consultation stage. Hence, I penned in my preceding letter, that pending confirmation of my arrival in Medina Shareef, not to make any firm intentions to travel, particularly on mere hearsay. On the contrary, I suggest you avoid rushing here on news of my arrival, if your attendance is destined; I am here for at least two or three months, inshallah.

You have been through so much tribulation lately; I see no reason to make haste. Subject to my continued presence in this world, we will no doubt meet at some stage. If God forbid my journey is cancelled, and longevity permitting, make an intention to spend Ramadhan here. I am concerned and upset at your wife’s illness, I am hopeful of Almighty Allah that she has fully convalesced before now. A cheerful heart helps eliminate bodily ailments. My supplications, salutations, and best wishes to you on your arrival. Communicate my sunnah greeting to Molvi Hashim Sahib.

That is all. Salaam

Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib

Dictated to Abdur-Raheem
