Volume 1 letter 111
From: Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib (May his secret be sanctified)
To: Moulana Abdur-Raheem Sahib (May his shadow be lengthened)
Date: 26 th Shawaal1388/ 15 th January 1969
After the sunnah greeting. This morning I learned via Molvi In’am-ul-Hasan’s letter of your safe arrival at the station and the three-hour train delay. I was pleased with your safe arrival; however, I was saddened about the train delay. I trust both of you have arrived all right. Thus far, I have not met Haji Imam; it is probable he carries a letter from you. I anxiously await news of the doctor’s opinion with regard to dearest Yusuf’s arm therefore kindly enlighten me post-haste. With today’s mail, I received two items of registered mail from Dr. Ismail. One included a ticket for Abul-Hasan and the other was for your attention at Saharanpur, I cut out the address, and forwarded it to your home address, this is the reason for this card. God willing it has arrived as I assume it contained your own ticket.
If it is convenient prior to your arrival here, get together with Haji Yakub and present your paperwork to determine if the ticket and declaration will be valid in Muharram, or will it be necessary to reorder them seeing that a year has passed on them. In addition, I also received correspondence from Abdul-Hafeez in today’s mail; he cautioned against purchasing a ticket as far as Dhahran as it is an arduous undertaking, it required him purchasing a further airline ticket from Dhahran.
That is all. Salaam
Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sahib
Dictated to Muhammad Ismail
26 th Shawaal
From this lowly one: Sunnah greetings, I received my own ticket and form in today’s mail. We shall wait and see where it leads. How long do you anticipate staying upon your return? I entreat you for supplication.
