Volume 1 letter 104
From: Moulana Abdur-Raheem Motala Sahib
To: Hazrat Moulana Yusuf Motala Sahib
Date: 13 th Ramadhan-ul-Mubarak 1388/3 rd December 1968
After the sunnah greeting. Hazrat mailed a registered envelope yesterday I trust it has arrived. I would like to mention that whatever Hazrat has written concerning the debt is simply out of affection for you, he called your attention to it only after your journey was determined.
Kindly write in your reply that you intend to give the matter utmost priority after Haj and propose to settle the debts with 4/5 months salary. I have not mentioned the £150; I think it best if you do not bring it up either. Despite a great deal of effort and longing Dr. Ismail Sahib and Malik Abdul-Haq were unable to attend. In addition to conveying their salutations, everyone here is concerned about your health and make repeated enquiries. We all pray for you tirelessly. Kindly continue to update us with regard to your health.
My concern for you is ever present. I may be in Saharanpur in body but my spirit resides with you. I beg Allah to pardon me, if not for the occasion of Ramadhan I would have certainly stayed with you. May Almighty Allah grant you strength, good health, a swift recovery and keep us happy and content.
If you run out of coconuts order some more, seek to obtain some seasonal fruits they will be beneficial, inshallah, avoid rice and anything sour as well. Completely refrain from bathing at this time. What more can I write, my heart remains disquiet out of concern for you.
That is all. Salaam
Most Contemptible Slave
Abdur-Raheem Surati
